One of my Facebook 'friends' suggested in all my work I was neglecting to mention New Zealand (along with much of the rest of the world, I guess) and I have to admit he is right. Until now I have childhood memories of NZ Lamb and Anchor butter, at one time I worked for a Lamb importer and detested every minuet of it, can't remember if I was sacked of quit by mutual consent but ho hum!
More recently here in the UK we have been served up some very tempting Holiday advertisements which if cash allowed, I would be on the next Qantas out of here, ready to bungee jump off the next cliff with Jack Osbourne or Motorcycle round the place with Charlie Boorman (The 2 coolest guys on the planet in my view and I should be the 3rd if you can be cool at 51?)
Anyway back to the case in hand and what can be said about New Zealand and I am grateful to my local contacts Amfortas and Julie for offering some pointers;
"Cool topic for your site but it is a big question.
The best I can do is say, "most countries are similar". There are international groups working together for child support. NZ is part of the Hague law (kidnapping) which is universal although not all countries are under it like Fiji (Pacific Island).
Things are pretty much universal on everything yet some country's governments add words or lessen words on laws or make a small changes for their country's culture.
NZ is going for 50% women in position positions and business boards where Spain, Norway and Sweden go for 40%.
I am not sure what Australia is going for!"
So is there an issue with family law in New Zealand ?'Scrap' the CSA caught my eye on this one;

Well, my prediction has come true see full details by clicking on the blog title;
Child support is to get a shake-up in the New Year after revelations eligible parents owe more than $1.7 billion in payment
Have a read of the full text of this article and start planning what ACTION you are committed to make child tax reform an issue that wont go away.
Yes you can blog and write letters to ministers who do nothing to improve your slavery or you can get on the streets and take ACTION.
The matrix of Family Law will only get better when the members of Cabinet, those who decide the law changes, are forced to make positive change by the ACTION of the child tax slaves.
Its a new year and ACTION is coming : That could be stopping traffic on the Wellington Motorway, occupying IRD offices in Wellington, living in a tent city outside Dunnes home……. .If you want change get ready for ACTION.
Regards

That reminds me I had a letter from the Advertising Standards Authority this morning and they too will not uphold my complaint of the recent CSA (CMEC) misleading advert so I am with you there Scrap, action is indeed needed!

Welcome to Fathers of New Zealand
This website has been designed to help you succeed when dealing with the Family Court.
If you need help drafting your affidavits and applications or would like to be shown how to succeed with mediation or in the Family Court then please feel free to email us.
In some cases of help, a donation would be appreciated. Most people who have been involved in the family court process have little good to say about lawyers who typically only work in an adversarial way.
All of the various men’s support groups advocate representing yourself at least in the early stages of separation. As soon as lawyers become involved hostility increases.
Even if the other party has a lawyer you do not need one and can represent yourself.
If you have a protection order served on you go to the how to do it? for page. You will need to act quickly if you have a protection order served on you.
But hold on the answer is here surely;
New Zealand Family Law in the 21st Century is a new, authoritative, highly accessible work covering all aspects of family law in New Zealand.
Judge Inglis QC, now retired from many years on the Family Court Bench, demystifies the working of the Family Court and discusses the remedies and strategies available at the time when separation is first contemplated, usually the crucial time when families most need for Family Court's assistance. This work is far more than a text book.It takes the reader beyond the law as it is expressed in the statutes and the cases. It challenges us to examine our way of thinking about and applying the law. And not only that, it requires us to examine how family law is developing in the first decade of this century. Is it reflecting society’s expectations? Is it developing in the way that society wants? What further reforms are needed? A snip at $170.00 exc. GST. (always money to be made in this industry!)
This is made all the more ironic when you see what is underconstruction under the New Zealand flag in the sidebar (Rolf Harris says things are a little behind round here), but I have enjoyed my brief cyber-visit to this beautiful part of the world,though a little saddened that even here they are not free of the scourge that blights all our societies,an incompetent and unfair Family Law Court System! http://menz.org.nz/
Davey hopes to have a true visit here one day!
Shame your sources of information are not better - MENZ hardly represents the views of New Zealanders - More on my front page

Hi, thank-you so much for putting up a New Zeeland page as we also suffer with our Child Protect System (CPS) and family court issues. It seems the word over families suffers and in a lot of ways while the CPS might come under different names in other countries, they still have the same devastating result. I hope the global community will support each other in drawing attention to this plight, as it seems to be a global agenda driver it.

I wish to bring it too your notice that the fact that Govt pays CYF 100.000 for every child they uplift and farm out is allowing trainee workers to uplift innocent NZ children and put them through tremendous trauma while they endure the long wait for a trial.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the Govt pays child counsel 30,000 per child also makes it profitable for a child counsel to align herself with CYf so this is repeated many times over.
Our recent experience in family court as a childs father sought to get a protection order removed to allow him access with a child who says she doesn't want any contact with this man who is not even qualified as a guardian of this child was removed by a judge who admitted half way through the trial that she was in fact a friend of the social worker who uplifted the child.
The child had even told her counsel that she didn't want contact with this man but the council proceeded to tell the judge that she thought it was a good idea to lift the protection order
Taxi drivers say this is common knowledge, people are talking, some safety nets need to be put in place by the govt too protect our children from these money hungry workers for the govt. You pay the money to allow these cruel practices to continue toward innocent citizens children and families living in NZ.
In our case the CYF trainee in her first 6 months of training has been proven to have no proof of her accusations, she has no affidavits to support her case just double hearsay but she has total control to stop all support for the child since Dec 15 2009 while family await a date for the trial. The child is suffering mentally and physically, falls, arm in cast, another fall, damages the cast. many recent cold sores, acute tonsillitis , her immune system not handling the stress of being torn from a happy home and kept away from all her European maternal family since Dec 2009, the family she has always had to support her for 10 years has been stopped by the case worker from having any form of contact. Her adhd medication removed without referral to a specialist for reassessment the medication the child had been on since she was 6 years old removed by her social worker cold turkey and 3 months before she was taken for medical advice. No assessment by a medical professional to access the damage being done to this childs mind and body has been done. Brooke 11yrs old says my mum is the best mum in the world, someone is lying, no one is helping this little girl. You are creating the Tonya Bennetts in our society.
Why did the Govt fine 60 min such a large sum of money for allowing Celia Lachlan to speak out to try and support our NZ Children, why has Celia Lachlan been gagged. Why is the NZ Government not doing something to change the situation instead of burying it under CYF umbrella.
It appears the NZ culture is that a neighbour who is annoyed with you can make a false notification and you loose your child and the child suffers the long trauma of waiting for a trial for her family to prove their innocence even when the trainee social worker has no evidence against the family.
The trainee can write anything she wants and is totally protected from the law while she destroys a childs health and wellbeing and gain a huge bonus on top of the 100.00 her office gets for uplifting and placing a child innocent or not.
Yours faithfully
